Good morning, I’m Sonnie Shepherd. It’s President’s Day, and we’re traveling, so we’re taking a day off news. If you’re on school break this week and looking for things to do locally, so much going on. Of course the Ellsworth Public Library, the Blue Hill Library, and all our local libraries always have great programming – check their social media pages. Also, the Versant Power Astronomy Center on the UMaine campus in Orono has movies for kids at 2 p.m., today, Wednesday and Friday – check out astro dot u maine dot e d u. The Grand in Ellsworth is showing Disney’s Lilo and Stitch every afternoon this week at 1 – and that’s just a dollar per child, generously underwritten by the City of Ellsworth. And at Woodlawn in Ellsworth, weather permitting, there’s a story trail, ice skating, and sledding. Have a great Monday – we’ll be back right here tomorrow morning with your latest local, national and world news, beginning at 6 a.m.
Good morning, I’m Sonnie Shepherd. It’s President’s Day weekend, so we are on the road and taking a break from news today. Congratulations to Anne Marie Sargent who won last week’s Where in the world is Sonnie. Thanks to everyone who correctly guessed we were in Paris, France. We’ll be sending Anne a $25 gift card to Musquito Harbor Brewing Company in Winter Harbor – thanks so much everyone for playing. This week’s location is up on our social media pages. Plus, to celebrate our upcoming 100th Newscast on Nice and Easy Internet Radio and the other stations of Maine Internet Radio, we have another way you can win for yourself, plus a chance to win a nice donation for your favorite nonprofit. Check out my FB page to learn more, and we’ll be back right here tomorrow morning with your latest local, national and world news, beginning at 6 a.m.
